What I Wore: 2016 BET Awards

How many opportunities do you get to host the red carpet of the BET Awards?  Hopefully for me this will be the first of many.  Because this was an opportunity that I was completely surprised by, I wasn’t too sure how to dress for the occasion.  Sure, I watch award shows all the time and cover red carpet fashion very often for the site.  Still, it’s completely different when you’re faced with an opportunity to show off your personal style at such a prestigious event.  Initially I figured a custom outfit would be the best option.  That fell through horribly.  Then I had a friend surprise me and make me a beautiful bardot top with a black skirt but unfortunately I wasn’t able to wear it because of LA’s extremely warm weather.  Thankfully I had an amazing back up option that managed to capture my personal style.  During a sale a few weeks back I purchased a pair of reddish-orange tuxedo pants and a matching halter vest.  I partnered that look with my Made by Malyia chokers and clear, single-sole sandals.  Get the details below!
